Special Auction in Basel:
October 21 and 22, 2011
Our special auction in Basel, staged in co-operation with Moirandat Company AG, closed with a number of outstanding sales and a high overall result. The total sum of estimates amounted to 2.4 m CHF; the sum of the hammer prices amounted to 3 m CHF.
The most important piece at the auction, Schiller’s manuscript of five choral verses from his ‘Ode to Joy’, went to a private German collection for the sum of 500.000 CHF.
